Whether you’re looking for a private tour for yourself, family and friends, or you’re just looking to do a tour on a date or time we don’t have listed on our website, just get in contact with us. Choose from any of our standard tours (special events not available due to their nature), or have us make one up especially for you. Prices will vary from standard ticket pricing and will be based on length of time, tour type and number of guests. Minimum number of guests is 8, but if you have a smaller group, we may still be able to arrange something for you, so please feel free to ask. We don’t bite (often).
Walking tours are a great way to engage visitors to the city with its history and its layout, allowing people to familiarise themselves in a relaxed and informal manner whilst being regaled with stories from our dark past.
Anyone who says there’s nothing to do in Dundee that is fun clearly hasn’t been on our walking tours or attended any of our events. Just read our reviews on Facebook and TripAdvisor – you’ll wonder how you didn’t know about us until now!
For those who are somewhat squeamish or perhaps don’t want to be dragged kicking and screaming into the darkness, we also run orientation tours and welcome tours, which show visitors to the city a more practical guide in terms of where to go and what to do whilst they’re in Dundee. Whilst we may not talk too much about ‘dark history’ on these tours, we can certainly raise some laughs (and we can’t guarantee we won’t slip a dark tale or two in anyway, just because we can).
For larger groups and corporate events, we run larger tours which incorporate team-building scavenger hunt activities to promote Dundee’s vibrant history as well as give staff an opportunity to get outdoors for a morning or afternoon and bond in a co-operative way with their colleagues in a relaxed and informal way. With prizes for the winning team, and a wealth of gory tales to delight even the hardiest of souls, you can rest assured the gloves will be off as soon as the timer starts!
We’ve worked with groups of all ages, from 6 to 80-plus, and we’ve also worked with groups from 2 to 50 from across various industries across Scotland, including Fife Young Carers Group, Office of the Scottish Charities Regulator, Dundee and Angus Chamber of Commerce, Morgan Academy and Thornton’s Solicitors, as well as working closely with visiting European groups from Germany, France and Switzerland.
